Derma Roller
Derma Roller Anti Ageing and Facial Scrubs & Polishes Scar Removal Hair Regrowth
The Derma Roller is a specialized skincare tool used for Microneedling (or collagen induction therapy). It consists of a drum lined with hundreds of surgical-grade micro-needles that create "micro-channels" in the skin to trigger the body's natural healing response.
Core Applications
-
Skin Rejuvenation: Stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, which helps reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and large pores.
-
Scar & Acne Mark Treatment: By breaking down old scar tissue and encouraging new cell growth, it helps fade hyperpigmentation and shallow "pitted" acne scars.
-
Hair Regrowth: Used on the scalp to stimulate hair follicles and improve the absorption of topical treatments like Minoxidil.
-
Maximum Absorption: It significantly increases the effectiveness of serums (like Vitamin C or Hyaluronic Acid) by allowing them to penetrate deeper into the dermis rather than just sitting on the surface.
Comparison of Needle Sizes
| Needle Length | Typical Usage | Frequency |
| 0.25mm – 0.3mm | Enhancing product absorption; skin brightening. | Every other day |
| 0.5mm | Fine lines, shallow scars, and anti-aging. | Once a week |
| 1.0mm | Deep wrinkles, acne scars, and hair regrowth. | Once every 2–3 weeks |
Critical Safety & Hygiene Rules
Note: Because this device penetrates the skin, hygiene is the most important factor to prevent infection.
-
Sanitize Before & After: Always soak the roller in 70% Isopropyl Alcohol for 5–10 minutes before and after every single use.
-
Never Share: This is a personal medical-cosmetic tool. Sharing a derma roller can transmit blood-borne pathogens.
-
Replace Regularly: The needles become dull after roughly 10–15 uses. Using a dull roller can tear the skin rather than piercing it cleanly.
-
Avoid Active Acne: Never roll over active, inflamed pimples or open wounds, as this can spread bacteria across your face.
How to Roll Properly
-
The Grid Pattern: Roll in four directions: horizontally, vertically, and diagonally (both ways).
-
Pressure: Use gentle, even pressure. You should feel a "prickling" sensation, but it should not be painful or cause significant bleeding.
-
Post-Care: Your skin will look sunburnt and feel sensitive for 24 hours. Stick to hydrating serums and always apply sunscreen the next day, as your skin will be more vulnerable to UV damage.
